Catoosa County Homeowner Shoots Burglary Suspect

Ringgold, GA (WDEF) Catoosa county detectives investigate a shooting Friday that started as a home invasion/burglary at a house on Vero Beach Avenue.

Authorities say the suspect entered the home with a gun and got into a fight with the homeowner.

The homeowner shot the suspect in the upper leg.

The suspect fled in a gold Ford Crown Victoria.

A victim with a gunshot wound to the leg showed up at Memorial hospital in Chattanooga.

Catoosa County Detectives continue to look into what happened.
