(WDEF) Chattanooga looks to a new leader to help recruit more business to the Scenic City.
Bill Killbride gets tapped to take over for outgoing Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce President and C-E-O Ron Harr.
Harr is leaving the position for health reasons, but will stay on for several more months.
At a press conference Thursday outgoing President and CEO Ron Harr said, "There are so many things in play, I think the obvious one probably to everybody in the community is an expansion to the Volkswagen plant. You know, we've all been hoping that word would come for a couple years now, and it's still a strong possibility. So I'd say that's top of the list."
Incoming President and CEO Bill Killbride added, "I think this is an incredible time right now. We've gotten this large ball rolling and I just really think that the next chapters can hold some significant things in store."
Kilbride currently serves as Mohawk's Chief Sustainability officer.
He retires from that position in July.
