(WDEF) Feeling lucky?
$550,000,000 might just make your day.
The Powerball Jackpot has now reached its second highest level, ever.
No one matched all six numbers in Wednesday's drawing.
And that boosted the jackpot into record territory.
The next drawing is on Saturday.
We talked to a couple of Powerball buyers Thursday.
One man buying a ticket said, "I'm not going to be mowing this place anymore."
A woman trying her luck said, "I would buy my son a brand new car because he's almost 17.  I'm a single mom with six kids, so we'd have a lot of fun."
In Tennessee, Lottery funds help pay for more than 100,000 scholarships and awards.
