Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) Chattanooga Firefighters help several UTC students who were stranded on the river Wednesday afternoon.
The group got into trouble on their paddleboards on the Tennessee River.

One student used her cell phone to call 911 and report they got trapped by the swift current and couldn't make it back to open water.

Two made it to a boat dock by the time help arrived.

Firefighters got the other three and their equipment onto their boat.

No one was hurt.
