The Chattanooga Hamilton County Health department confirms a heat related death in our area.
It happened between June 30th and July 2nd.
According to the health department Chattanooga hospitals serving the tri-state area reported 20 heat related illnesses during that time.
The heatwave that's bringing record breaking temperatures to our area isn't over just yet.
Chattanooga hit 107 degrees both Saturday and Sunday setting a record.
That means it felt like well above 110 degrees.
We're in for another day of triple digit temperatures today so take precautions to stay safe.
