The Chattanooga Park Stewards had their sights on cleaning up Renaissance Park Saturday, and, that included taking off grafitti and picking up trash.
This is the first event of its kind, but the turn out was so good they tell us they will continue to clean up other Chattanooga parks in the future.
Brian Smith with Chattanooga Parks and Recreation, says, "While we are focused on a lot of the parks downtown with the tourists and how popular they are, we want to make sure that as a city and as volunteers that some of the parks have a voice too, and I think opening up those communication lines and having a volunteer team is a very big asset for the city of Chattanooga."
