CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) - A 22-year old mom is facing four counts of child abuse and neglect after police say she left small children in a hot car.

It happened Monday afternoon on the 600 block of Cherry Street.

According to the police, Tiara Jenkins was inside the Hamilton County Court building picking up document while leaving four children in a hot car that was parked outside the court building.

Officers say the temperature at that location was between 85 and 90 degrees and that the car windows were rolled up.

Two of the children belonged to Jenkins and the other two belonged to her sister.

Two of the children were one years old and the other two were four years old.

When officers did a background check on Jenkins they also discovered she had two warrants for her arrest.

A judge set her bond at $75,000.

When my children were little, I took them in with me to get my driver's license and one of the examiners watched them while I did the driving part. It is not that hard if you cannot find a babysitter. Maybe people should have to take parenting classes before they are allowed to have children!

How is it so hard for a parent to just TAKE THEIR KIDS WITH THEM?! It's not as if she was in a building kids were prohibited! If it was just because she was too lazy to deal with them in a public building, then she should either A- find a sitter B-Don't go anywhere or C-not have kids to begin with! It's that simple! Leave your kids or pets in a hot car and I will reward you with a free busted window!

What is the matter with people? If you don't want ALL the RESPONSIBILITY of children then keep your legs CLOSED or take the pill. Kids don't ask for hardship they are innocent and just want to be loved.
