Chattanooga-based Chattem Inc. announces its plans to sell one of its best known brands, Bull Frog.

They're selling their sunblock line to a company in Cocoa, Florida.

That company is called Sun and Skin Care Research.

Chattem says the product just doesn't fit the company anymore.

Robert Long, Executive Vice President with Chattem, says, "We really don't have a sun care portfolio, and with the other recent additions to the product line here at Chattem, we thought it best to exit the band and since we don't have a significant presence in the category, and they obviously showed interest in the brand, it was a good transaction for the company."

Chattem has owned the Bull Frog brand since 1986.

We're told no one will loose their jobs because of the sale.

No word on how much the sunblock line was sold for.
