Laura Gheesling is the Art Educator at Cleveland High School.
She was approached by Hospice of Chattanooga, to find out if the school could help out with the "Healing Hearts Project."
As part of that project, art students create ceramic hearts for bereavement for families in grief.
Those "hearts" are given as a token, or as a remembrance for the person they have lost.
So far, the school has made about 150 of the ceramic hearts.
The students see this project as a way to give back to the community, and help those in need.
