Cleveland Police Officer Dies In The Line Of Duty

 We begin tonight with breaking news out of Bradley County.

We have confirmation that a Cleveland Police officer died in a bad wreck.

His name is Justin Maples, 34. 

According to Cleveland Police, he was a 7-year veteran on the force.

The wreck happened on South Lee Highway near the Holiday Hill Motel.

Witnesses tell us the officer was chasing someone when he hit a telephone pole.

THP is investigating this wreck, and a critical incident response team is on site helping officers affected by this tragedy.

Maples leaves behind a wife and three kids, ages one to five years old.
