From the Cleveland Police Department: Last night, Sunday, August 11, 2013,  a caller notified the 911 Communications Center of a text that a Ms. Alina Sherlin sent informing several different parties that she had shot her boyfriend, Robert D. Julian, 45 years old.

Officers responded to 1908 Greenwood Avenue in Cleveland and made contact with Ms. Alina Sherlin, however, Ms. Sherlin would not allow officers in her residence to conduct a welfare check. Officers went around to the back of the residence to look through windows when they saw the body of a male lying on the living room floor.

Next to the body, the officers observed a rifle, so the officers made entry into the residence. Officers discovered Mr. Robert Julian dead of an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. Ms. Sherlin, age 43, was placed in custody and charged with 1st degree murder.  Investigators are still on scene for further investigation.
