Senator Bob Corker was in town to promote a unique business program aimed at veterans.
Corker gave the keynote address at the opening ceremony of the Veterans Entrepreneurship Program.
The business boot camp, offered by UTC, offers experienced business training and teaches management skills to veterans.
"You get a whole lot of new support that comes from it, from the education process, but that education process causes you to think farther back into what you were doing and say hey that's was pretty good," said Joe Moore, a participant in the program.
"I don't know of any place in the world like Chattanooga where so many people are giving of themselves constantly to cause other people's lives to be better. This is another great example of that," added Corker.
The program is free for participants and is funded by private donations.
