A Chattanooga man suffered serious injuries in an early morning duplex fire.  The blaze broke out shortly after midnight.

Firefighters arrived at the duplex on Daisy Street and found the front of the home engulfed in flames.  Once crews gained entry, they searched the residence for victims.  Capt. Ashley May says "in the very back in the bathroom we found a male victim in the back in the tub.  We attempted to get him up.  We finally got him up and dragged him through the living room and got him outside."

Emergency crews took the man to the hospital for treatment.  The fire displaced the person who lives on the other side of the duplex.

An arson investigator is now handling the case.
