Dalton police believe some disturbing activity took place at the Guest Inn Motel.
Public Information officer Bruce Frazier said while Lawrence Edward "Larry" Womac was staying there, he convinced two girls under age 16 to come into his room to hang out and watch TV.
"While he was there he started to behave inappropriately.  He started touching one of the girls inappropriately, followed her into a bathroom and raped her there.  Then later also sexually assaulted the other girl," Frazier said.
Frazier told News 12 the victims were not from Dalton, but Womac has lived here most of his life.
"We know that he's from the Dalton area.  He's about 57 years old.  In fact his birthday's actually today," said Frazier on Tuesday.
While police were gathering warrants, Womac had already packed up and left, and he doesn't have a current address on record.
Investigators are treating this as a random rape, meaning they don't believe Womac knew either of the victims.
"It's somewhat rare to have stranger on stranger rape and obviously it's a concern for law enforcement when it does happen.  We definitely want to get this guy in custody as soon as possible," added Frazier.
Some of the charges Womac is wanted for include rape, aggravated assault, aggravated sodomy, sexual battery against a child under 16 years of age, and aggravated child molestation.
If you have any information on his whereabouts you can contact the Dalton Police Detective Jason Thompson at 706-278-9085 ext.174
