Sorry about spelling in last post... here ya go: The 2nd Amendment was written solely to ensure the people could put down a govt that went tyrannical. It was not aimed at hunting, robberies, or personal defense, as the Libtards want us to think. LOL

opiea1c - The firearms industry is making money because Americans are voting with their dollars. Last time I looked, no one from the NRA was outside my door forcing me to buy another rifle. People who decry the increase in firearms ownership are missing the real conspiracy here. You have a powerful and profitable gun control industry that tries to enforce it's elitist views across the world. Sponsored by billionaires like Soros and Bloomberg, they bankroll politicians and mass media propaganda to try and eliminate the entire concept of the 'armed citizen'. We recently saw this in action, with select politicians pushing their agenda for them, even though popular support was completely lacking. We saw a bought-and-paid-for media generate a propaganda attack on Constitutional rights and firearms owners unseen before in US history. We saw states like NY pass draconian anti-rights laws literally in the middle of the night using emergency powers they didn't even invoke during Hurricane Sandy. We saw the media constantly spew made-up 'facts' like the '90%' myth to support legislation that even by the Dept. of Justices own reckoning would prevent less than 1% of all illegal firearms from ending up in criminal hands. At the end of the day, we already have way too many gun laws. Some, like the feel-good 'gun free zone' laws are directly responsible for turning churches, schools and other public areas into potential free-fire zones. By removing the deterrent of legally armed citizens, these areas are now far more dangerous than they were before the passage of these laws back in the 1990s. In the future, please look into the facts a but before you start pointing a finger and crying 'conspiracy'. You might be looking into a mirror.

There is far too much profit for the fun companies and gun lobbyists for this issue to go away any time soon.

It's hardly 'raging'. Gun control is dead at the Federal level, where despite the biggest propaganda campaign in history the gun control lobby couldn't even get the Democratically-controlled Senate to pass it.
