The shooter, sped away and Holland drove  the half mile to Roanoke Avenue before passers-by heard her screaming and called authorities just after  6.20pm.

Local residents say a house off Curtis St was also shot at, one woman's granddaughter was inside the home at the time.

"She was actually inside that house when that bullets arrived, she was terrified, shaken up and so forth, the only thing I could do was hold her and pray, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus".

Holland was taken to  the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
