Drivers Involved in Severe Accident on I-24 at milemarker 176 Wednesday Morning in Hospital in Critical and Serious Condition

(WDEF) Chattanooga Police responded to a dangerous crash on Interstate 24 shortly before 11:00am Wednesday.
      The wreck happened at 17680 I -24.
      Traffic Investigators discovered that a Jeep Liberty was traveling west bound when the driver lost control and went across the median.
      The Jeep Liberty struck a Honda CRV, which was traveling east bound, and then rolled causing the driver to be ejected.
      The driver of the Honda CRV has been identified as 68-year-old Lynda Suggs.
      Suggs had to be extracted by Fire and EMS on scene and was rushed into surgery at a local hospital where her condition is critical at this time.
      The driver of the Jeep Liberty was identified as 22-year-old Dekotah Moreno.
      Moreno was also transported to a local hospital and is in serious condition.
      The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
