Early morning walker discovers body of man shot multiple times

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) - A man taking an early morning walk discovered the body of another man in a ditch.

It happened on 1000 block of Glenwood Drive near Memorial Hospital.

According top police, neighbors say they heard multiple gun shots around 2 A.M. Hours later, a person who was taking an early morning walk along Glenwood Drive reportedly looked to his side and saw the body of a man who was shot to death.

Police did confirm the victim died from gun shots.

"He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest," said Chattanooga Police Public Information Officer Tim McFarland

The victim was later identified as Darius Hinton, 25, of Chattanooga.

So far police do not have any suspects information or leads in the case.

WDEF will have more information once it's released by detectives.
