CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF) The suspected killer of Francis Smith was arrested in Mississippi Sunday morning.
Cashman Jamar Perkins was caught in Columbus, Mississippi with a female friend.
He was recently added to The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s “Top 10 Most Wanted.”
The 31-year-old was wanted by the Chattanooga Police Department and the TBI for Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Domestic Assault, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
On June 8, 2014, Chattanooga Police responded to Woodland View Circle in Chattanooga to find 40-year-old Francis Smith shot in her home.
Additionally, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Department obtained an arrest warrant for Perkins for Failure to Appear on an Unlawful Possession of a Weapon charge.
Perkins was also wanted by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office for Violation of Probation for Possession of Marijuana.
Perkins is currently being held without bond in Mississippi, soon to face extradition to Tennessee.
