Etowah Shooting Suspect A Person Of Interest In Robertson County Fire

A suspect ends up in the hospital after being involved in a shooting with police last night in McMinn County.

Authorities apprehended David Greenwood, a Robertson county man who is listed as a person of interest in a deadly house fire.

The shoot out took place in front of the Bi-Lo on Highway 411 in Etowah just before 8:00 pm.

Etowah's city manager told News 12 the suspect did fire at officers, who were not injured.

TBI also confirms emergency crews took Greenwood to a Knoxville hospital.

The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.
