POLK COUNTY, TN, (WDEF)-Friends visited the scene on US 411 near Sloans Gap Rd in Polk County to pay their respects.
It is at a dangerous bend that Natasha Burchfield's car spun out of control at 4.30am on New Years Day
"Ran off the roadway on the left side, rolled several times, while it was rolling, it ejected, the driver and come to rest against a tree"
Trooper Anthony Cameron says Burchfield was not wearing a seat belt and he cannot stress how many times deaths on our roads can be prevented by wearing them.
"It's so important, very very important to always wear your seat belt, such a small tool can save such a big part, it's a great tool to use, just wear your seat belt always"
Burchfield was taken to Skyridge medical center and later to Erlanger suffering from what friends say were severe head injuries.
The car was taken by a local towing company and due to the sensitivity in the investigation, it's covered by tarp and is not allowed to be photographed
One local resident says these fatal accidents are too common on highway 411 in Polk County.
Donnie Breedlove, Polk County resident, "I've seen six bad wrecks in the past 5 years, I feel if we get the four lane all the way down to the Georgia Line, it'll cut down on the wrecks"
25 year old Burchfield's passing was mourned by one of her former photographers who says she was a very talented model.
Jeff Johnson, Random Dreams Photography
,"A breath of fresh air, she got her inspiration on the wind, loved life, to live it to the fullest, just over all a wonderful person"
Johnson a photographer with over a decade's experience says he is grateful to be able to share his photographs of Natasha online to keep her memory alive.
"A moment in time that will never be captured again, it's something that shows the heart, the spirit of the person, it shows their energies"
Investigators say they are not ruling out the possibility that drugs or alcohol could have played a part but say the investigation is ongoing.
