Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly, single-car wreck on Highway 27 South in Sequatchie County. It happened just after 2AM, Sunday.
Highway Patrol tells News 12, 19-year-old Brooke Stockwell was driving when her car veered off the road and hit an embankment.
Stockwell and her passenger, 19-year-old Michael Elmore, were both thrown from the vehicle.
Stockwell was pronounced dead at the scene. Elmore is in fair condition at Erlanger.
According to the incident report, both were not wearing seat belts. And both had been drinking earlier.
