The Hamilton County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications District is being recognized by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The national organization praises the local center for meeting essential training and policy requirements to handle the Missing Kids Readiness Project .
Hamilton county 9-1-1 employees have completed the latest training programs, and the supervisors have additional Amber Alert training and telecommunications courses, for dealing with Missing and Abducted children.

John Stuermer, Dir., Hamilton County 9-1-1 Center
"Because our people are trained to ask the right questions ..And trained to recognize those potential issues, we get that information quickly and are able to pass that along to our first responding agencies to help people in our community recover these people as fast as possible."

Stuermer says it took substantial training for the 130 "tele-communicators" to obtain this coveted certification.
