Dozens of motorcycle enthusiasts are making sure Dade County children get a Christmas this year.
They strapped on their helmets for the first ever "hope for the holidays" toy ride.
It's a program the Dade County Sheriff's Office puts on every year, but never before have they organized a fundraiser like this. Bikers brought toys or dropped off a donation. Items were also raffled off including a handmade wooden rocking chair made in the shape of motorcycle. Sheriff Patrick Cannon, Dade County Sheriff said, "There's nothing that hits your heart more than seeing these children receive these toys that are given to them each year. There are so many families in need and each year. There's nothing like being able to help a needy child, and I just encourage each and everyone this year, touch a heart."
Last year, the group was able to help more than 400 children. If you would like to donate a toy or money, you can do that at the Dade County Sheriff's Office.
