A judge rules a local athletic association can get its soccer equipment back.
Now, a hearing is set in a dispute between the group, and the city of East Ridge.
The ruling comes from the Hamilton County Circuit Court.
It decided the City of East Ridge must give the East Ridge Soccer Association complete access to soccer equipment and soccer fields at Camp Jordan. East Ridge leaders recently voted to take over all parks and rec programs.
The city claims equipment purchased by the Soccer Association belongs to them.
But the Association says that's not true.
"With the agreement that date backs to the city employees, the understanding was anything purchased using funds from city resources, the park, that would go back to support the city and the city league so that's the issue here," says East Ridge City Manager Tim Gobble.
"We never agreed to that, they can't point to a contract provision that says that cause in reality we were giving them a free service, we never made any money on the recreational league, we did that at cost," says East Ridge Soccer Association attorney Chris Clem.
A full hearing on the issue has been set for February 21st.
