Amazon donated 30 Kindle Fires to classrooms in Cleveland, Bradley County, Marion County, McMinn county and Hamilton county.
The teachers in those 5 locations will also get special training on the best ways to use them.
The equipment will be part of their STEM education efforts.
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math.
Tracey Carisch is with the Southeast Tennessee STEM Innovation Hub.
"We were able to present to these teachers with new Kindle Fires. They will bring these into their classrooms. They'll use them for their own instruction. They'll put them in the hands of kids, so that kids have access to that kind of technology."
