We visited some of the hardest hit communities, like East Ridge, and residents say they have had to find creative ways to stay cool.
Mark Schmidt, a resident, adds, "I went to Eastgate earlier today for like two or three hours just to get somewhere and try to get some cold air but besides that I've just been roughing it out. And its tossing and turning at night, can't sleep."
All the electic companies we mentioned hope to have everyone back on line by Monday.
