Love the Land. Lose the Litter.

That's the motto for the Pickin' up Tennessee awareness campaign. This is the first time the group launched the environmentally friendly effort. They cleaned up 40 different counties across Tennessee in just one month. 4-thousand gallons of litter was picked up by more than 200 volunteers. The campaign films and documents each stop along the way. Marge Davis, Scenic Tennessee President said, "We got the grant from TDOT back in and announced in December. We started doing planning and recruiting musicians, they are all volunteer and lining up the litter pick ups and hiring the film team and they are Chattanooga based."

Local performers and groups in the community will be combined into videos to build awareness of the importance of environmental stewardship. For more information regarding the effort go to
