The trial may be over, but the controversy is only growing..
"We're past the verdict so we have to deal with the next step in the process and the next step is to do what our national organization, locally, what we're planning to do," said local NAACP Vice President Rev. William T. Ladd.
Members of the Hamilton County Chattanooga NAACP are joining the national effort in pursuing a civil lawsuit against George Zimmerman
They also support the effort of looking into  stand your ground laws in the states.
"There are certain cases where the law has been applied to find people guilty and in other cases they have been found innocent and it seems to be based on race," said Ladd.

I agree completely. There was zero evidence that GZ "racially profiled" TM. And the federal investigation will find exactly the same thing. Lets take some action here in Chattanooga to eradicate the black on black violence almost every day.

Why doesn't the local NAACP focus on the problems right here in their own city? Young black men like Trayvon Martin are shot by other young black men right here in Chattanooga with alarming regularity.
