If you stand on corner of South Moore and Ringgold Road, you can see the two business that were robbed Monday; all within minutes and all by the hands of Charles Fletcher, 20, according to police.
Bob Hardy, a resident, says, "The guys either very, very stupid or has a lot of brass."
East Ridge Police say when Fletcher was done robbing those stores, he tried to rob a Regions Bank next door, but that trip proved to be a bit less successful.
Erik Hopkins, with the East Ridge Police Department, says, "I don't know if the individual made it inside or not, but it was an attempt there."
And the crime spree did not stop there, according to police.
They believe Fletcher then headed towards Chattanooga in very recognizable car.
Hopkins adds, "It was a hand spray painted vehicle with red spray painted rims."
Minutes later, Chattanooga Police responded to two robberies on Brainerd Road.
Bob Hardy was in a nearby business when it all went down.
Hardy adds, "Told us to lock the doors, and started letting people in one at a time, that there was a robbery going on at the Kangaroo."
Officers with both cities then put their heads together.
They believe Fletcher was the young man responsible for the whole crime spree.
Witnesses reported the same vehicle, and same man with a red bandana and handgun.
Hardy says, "Well, it's one more thug off the street."
Fletcher is still in jail tonight on a $120,000 bond.
East Ridge Police credit community members with getting him off the street.
They say accurate vehicle information lead to that arrest.
