(WDEF) Lincoln Park residents will get a say in the Central Avenue extension.
That's the word from Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke Monday.
A spokesperson for the mayor's office says Mayor Berke will add a requirement to the funding resolution of the Central Avenue Extension.
That will happen at Tuesday's scheduled Transportation Planning Organization board meeting.
It requires the City of Chattanooga to openly discuss any decisions with Lincoln Park and nearby neighborhood residents.
The city must also report back to the TPO Board with the results before drawing any federal funds to build the extension.
