Nancy Ward DAR Members Honor Local History at Brainerd Mission Cemetery

CHATTANOOGA, TN, (WDEF)-The annual flag raising ceremony took place at Brainerd Mission Cemetery which is owned by the organization.
     The cemetery has been owned and maintained by the group since the 1930's.

Susan Thomas is the DAR TN State Regent-elect, "Can trace our ancestry to someone who fought for American Liberty and Freedom,in the American revolution and who supported that cause with unfailing loyalty".

Chattanoogan Nancy Henderson feels the site has special historical significance,
"This was a place of learning and growing and the people coming together"

        The Daughters of the American Revolution added they will be very active in the community over the summer months.
