A graduation ceremony was held last night for Chattanooga Fire Academy 2013. Some of the 22 graduates began their first shifts as firefighters this morning at 7:00 a.m. As we have done in the past, a graduation video was produced, which shows some of their experiences during the 6 ½ months in the fire academy. By far most of the video captures actual training, as it happens. The one exception here is a segment that not only promotes the value of firefighters, but also the value of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). That segment, and the full video, have both been posted on YouTube. -- Bruce Garner, Chatt. Fire Dept.
