The new Red Bank Middle school is officially open for business.
Kids have actually been attending classes since the beginning of the school year.
But today marked the official dedication for the new 29 million dollar building.
It's a 160-thousand square foot facility.
The lighting, and heating and air conditioning units are designed to save the school district millions of dollars in power costs.
Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger calls it a state of the art building.
"It's built with energy efficiency in mind and also with a lot of technology that's been added to the school. And again, we're just excited that this day has come."
School officials worked closely on the school with leaders from the city of Red Bank and Hamilton County.
