CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) - A Chattanooga police officer is on paid administrative leave following a shooting he was involved in on Saturday Night.

It happened near the intersection of 26t and Long Street during the South side Reunion picnic party.

The officer shot at a gunman who began shooting at people who were attending the party.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigators on scene told WDEF it appears this was an incident between rival gang members.

The individuals who started the incident took off on foot and got away.
Investigators took the officers gun as evidence in the case.
