CHATTANOOGA, TN, (WDEF)-Over 70,000 Tennesseans have enrolled for Obamacare but a website technical problem Monday, left many turning to local health care navigators for help.
"Our calls double, I handled myself personally about 25 phone calls a day not including face to face enrollment assistance, so it has certainly increased, today we are getting lots of phone calls because the system is down right now"
If you have not registered by 11:59 on March 31st fines will come into play which could be up to 1% of your take home income.
Nancy Ridge, Program Manager and Health Care Navigator,"Tomorrow morning if they are in line, if they have an application, there will be a new screen that pops up that says I demonstrated good faith in trying to enrole if those people have not made any attempt to enrole then they will have to pay the penalty"
Those in isolated communities have been offered advice and support when enrolling.
In downtown Chattanooga not everyone agrees enrollment is necessary.

Others say health care and the cost of medical attention is now more important than ever.
John Hutton, Chattanoogan, "People are all getting health care, its just that not everyone has insurance and everyone aught to have insurance, so we know the real cost and whose paying for it"
Bruce Stewart, Chattanooga Resident, "Nobody knows when that tragedy is going to come medically speaking and when it does the cost of medical attention today is so extreme that very very few people even middle class people have a struggle affording it"
According to a recent CBS poll 53% of Americans are not in favor of the bill, while 43% say it is needed.
