A foot chase with Dekalb County Sheriff's deputies ends with the suspect being shot and killed.

It happened Saturday in the Ider area.

Deputies say Monroe Curtis Smith was driving his four-wheeler, did not pull over when ordered to, and a foot chase ensued.

According to officers, Smith pulled out a gun at some point, refused to put it down, and was shot.

The case is being turned over to the ABI.
