It's property appraisal time in Hamilton County.
That means reappraisal notices could start hitting your mailboxes as early as this weekend.
Batches will be sent out every few days until April 19th.
According to the Hamilton County Assessor, a third of the property values will go up, a third will go down, and the rest will stay about the same.
Bill Bennett, the Assessor of Property, adds, "The last one, they were starting to go down, the values of homes. This time they're starting to go up and that helps a lot. They went up in 2012 and that's what we weigh the heaviest on."
Reappraisals happen every four years.
If you get yours and do not agree with the new assessment, you can contact the tax assessor's office.
