RED BANK, TN, (WDEF)-Moving trucks, bulging boxes and plastic bags surrounded the 4100 block of the Chalet Apartment complex this morning.
Some residents say they have survived three fires in this complex and are fed up.
Matthew Bryan,"There's been quite a few fires here and a lot of us don't know which one is going to be next"
Joyce Bartley," One about two years ago i think and one the year before that"
Marie Ballinger,"trying to clean what clothes that can be washed, i've had to wash things two and three times, trying to get the smell out, it's just so bad"
Ronnie Lee, of Summit Property and Restoration says they have been taking all measures to make sure residents are safe and their valuables protected.
"Getting everything boarded up and secure for the tenants, where they feel a little better about things not being tampered with, securing the premises, getting it roped off"
Brent Sylar of Red Bank Fire Dept does not think the cause of the fire will be known for some time.
"Especially when it involves a a big building like that, takes a little longer to do the investigation, to make sure everything is looked at and everything is right and interview witnesses too"
Residents say the lack of fire walls and sprinklers made the fire more terrifying for them.
Residents added that they are being rehoused in other blocks in the complex.
Management at the Chalet Apartment Complex said they had no comment to make on the issue.
