RINGGOLD GA, (WDEF)- Cliff Kluge and his wife believe the document they have could be the recipe or part of the recipe for Coca Cola.
The antiques and writing enthusiasts found the letter among old writings.
Cliff then underwent interviewing by EBAY before placing the document online accepting bids of between 5 and 15 million dollars.
With over 48,00 unique views within a matter of hours he is confident of showcasing what he believes is a "historical document".
Coca-Cola have refuted the claims saying this is "just one of many formulas".
For Cliff and Arlene their passion for old writings and antiques is one that they say is not for profit.
He told WDEF News 12 he wanted to place bids at a threshold of up to 100 million dollars for the document to get the maximum attention possible but was restricted by EBAY.
After appearing on national news the Air line pilot is glad to be able to bring attention to the recipe.
Arlene added that handwriting and skill of letter writing is one that is lost and if anything comes of this it is that paper and letters are still key to our society.
The couple will continue to sell antiques with a classically embroidered chair up next for sale.
