Hamilton County students invade The Chattanoogan Friday to host a conference.
It's their 11th annual SPEAK OUT conference.
Each high school selected five students to attend, and that made up the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council.
Topics included religious expression in schools, and bullying.
Superintendent Rick Smith weighed in on the bullying issue.
He says, "I think it's something right now that we're taking much more seriously than probably ever had. So, there's less tolerance for it. I think with kids, we've educated them to trust us to talk to guidance counselors, administrators, teachers."
The conference is sponsored by the Federal Character Education Partnership Grant.
