CHATTANOOGA, TN. (WDEF) -- The Salvation Army's Angel Tree campaign got a big boost Monday morning when a local group delivered 75 bikes to the Covington Street warehouse.

"Love Gives Wheels" is a 36 hour bike drive that ended over the weekend.
Some more came in this morning.
Local folks like the Insurity Group responded and brought the number of new bikes available in the Angel Tree program to more than 700.
A local Pastor spent most of his weekend on a scissor-lift to help the cause.

Wesley Odum, Pastor\Dynamic Church
"These bikes behind me actually were donated from people on grounds as they were coming out. We were at the Walmart on Gunbarrel Road...they were purchasing bikes in the store making donations. Actually, people throughout the nation and the world actually made donations on line, as well."

There are still 600 Angel Tree requests that have not been met.
The deadline is December 13th.
