Our local Red Cross in Chattanooga collected donation for Hurricane Sandy victims.

More than two dozen volunteers held out buckets at Wal-Mart Stores across Hamilton and Bradley Counties. All the money raised will go to make sure families get warm meals and a roof over their head during this difficult time. Currently, there are close to 50 east Tennessee volunteers that have joined in this effort.

Karen Sarnosky, Red Cross Volunteer said, "The need is still there. There is still 300,000 without power and not to mention housing. Shelters will be open for quite a while yet." You can still help families affected by the hurricane. Visit redcross.org or call 1-800-REDCROSS.
