A gun goes off during a robbery in East Ridge early this morning...but thankfully no one got hurt.
It happened at the Sonic restaurant in the 43 hundred block of Ringgold Road.
Police responded around midnight.
The manager told them two men entered, showed a gun and demanded money.
Officers say the manger and one of the suspects somehow started struggling for the gun and it went off.
The bullet didn't hit anyone.
The suspects ordered the employees onto the ground, emptied the cash register and fled.
Here's the suspect description from East Ridge Police:

The suspects were described as black males; one was approximately 5’10”, 260lbs.
The second suspect was 5’6” 160lbs.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the East Ridge Police Department at 423-867-3718.
