100 students from freshers to seniors as well as faculty gathered at Chattanooga Zoo at 10:30 AM to spend the day honoring Martin Luther King Jr.

They feel inspired by Dr King and believe they have a duty on a day as special as this,

It seems their work is not going unnoticed and those from the Zoo are grateful for their time and efforts.

Zoo Director, Darde Long says,"Wow it means like getting a whole bunch of work done for free, for a small institution like this, we don't have a big staff, we don't have a lot of resources, to have someone come in and get this zoo in shape for spring, this is really amazing, we are so grateful to the community,"

The few hours of volunteering by the students would be months of work for the small staff and puts them in a good position coming out of the Winter period.
