Nick Riehle has been serving in South Korea since April of last year with his fiance Rachel Shelton waiting at home.
We told Rachel we were doing a story about retail jobs increase.
She had no idea her hero was about to walk in.
As she was folding jeans inside JCPenny, Nick walked up behind her touched her waist and she turned aroud and screamed, "Nick!"
The couple shared a long embrace.
Rachel knew he was coming back for their wedding next week, but didn't expect to see him today.
Nick said, "It's a very good relief.  I'm trying not to cry."
Rachel and Nick's parents helped plan the reunion at JCPenny, where they worked, met, and fell in love two years ago.
"I just started seeing him and I was like, oh he's cute!" Rachel said.
Nick's mom Tina said, "We love her just like she's our own daughter.  We took care of her while he was away because he said, 'you have to make sure you take care of her while I'm gone' and I said 'we will.'"
"It is definitely hard being engaged knowing someone in the military but it's definitely worth all of it when you see them again, when you get that first kiss.  It's falling in love all over again.  It's definitely worth it no matter what happens," said Rachel.
The couple says they're excited to finally tie the knot next weekend.
They'll go on a honeymoon for a week after that, then he will go back to South Korea for another eight weeks to finish assignment.
