A local school takes center stage, thanks to a documentary on Howard High School.
The film covers the struggles students face as they work to bring pride back to Howard.
The institution was label as a "dropout factory" in 2007.
But this year, it made it off of the state's list of priority schools. Filmmakers followed students as they worked to bring change to the school last year.
The production company Fancy Rhino taught a film class at the school, and put cameras in the hands of the students.
The end result is a full length documentary film.
Howard Principal Dr. Paul Smith is proud of the results.
"You'll see some really true stories of some fantastic kids. It's in their words. You actually see scenes here from their school day. You'll see scenes from home. Just to have that expose of our kids when you look at kids who are achieving in spite of where they come from or the obstacles they have to face everyday it's just great it's miraculous sometimes when you look at it."
