Dozens of walkers hit the trail at the Chattanooga Riverpark this morning to benefit Teen Challenge.
The organization held their annual Walk With Hope to raise money and accept donations of gently used clothing and shoes. In addition to the walk there was also a special run for younger kids.
Teen Challenge is a 12 month residential program aimed at helping people with drug, alcohol, or eating addictions.
"For one year, they are in an intensive, Christian discipleship program, learning principles how to live their lives, so when they leave Teen Challenge, they will be able to remain drug and alcohol or addiction free. We teach them live skills and things that are going to help them transition back into normal life.," said Roger Helle, Executive Director of Tenn Challenge.
Through donations and sponsorships, Teen Challenge has raised nearly 50 thousand dollars this year.
