The guys doing fireworks at Camp Columbus say they've never missed a Fourth of July show and they're not going to start now.
"We started this back about 17 years ago," Time Saunders said, "We started in the neighborhood just for the kids and it grew and grew about four years ago had to come down here because we had close to 1000 people in the cul de sac."
They had to cancel their live music entertainment, but a covered pavilion allowed most of the festivities to go on.
The Columbus Night's Coordinator David Wilkey says the rain clouds could have a silver lining for their event.
"We're essentially the only show in town so hopefully we'll draw a lot of these people in that would've otherwise gone somewhere else," Wilkey said.
Camp Columbus was able to go on with their firework show as planned for the crowd.
They had about 10-thousand dollars worth of fireworks, all from community donations.
