The Gateway to Opportunity Youth Foundation held a flag footaball tournament to raise money for Christmas gifts.
Closer to the big day they will work with churches to distribute them to children in need. Organizers say this fits within their mission to teach young ones about giving back. Jay Cotton, Gateway to Opportunity Youth Foundation said, "I'm having a blast. I'm enjoying myself, the kids are enjoying theirselves. This opportunity gives kids the chance to learn the game and give back at the same time. They're having fun, but giving kids in need, so we're looking to do this every year if anyone wants to join, come out here for Christmas and help out for a great cause, they can look us up or call."
The group is a non-profit organization started back in 1997.
